一、专业简介(Ⅰ、Major Introduction)
生命学科在山东大学有着悠久的历史和辉煌的成就。著名发育生物学家童第周院士、著名海洋生物学家曾呈奎院士及著名微生物学家王祖农教授都先后担任过系主任,他们以先进的教育思想和卓越的学术成就,使山东大学生命学科享誉海内外,成为我国生命科学与技术人才培养与科学研究的重要基地之一。
生命科学学院现为国家生物学教学与研究人才培养基地、国家生命科学与技术人才培养基地,拥有微生物技术国家重点实验室,微生物学国家重点学科,生物学一级博士授权点、发酵工程学博士点和生物学博士后流动站。学院师资队伍年龄结构和学历及学缘结构合理、学术思想活跃,在国内外学术界有较大影响。
学院实行统一招生,按专业方向分流培养的本科教学模式。现有生物科学、生物技术、生态学和生物工程四个本科专业,并招收“国家生物学教学与研究人才培养基地班”和“国家生命科学与技术人才培养基地班”。
Life science research has a long and glorious history in theShandongUniversity. World renounced scientists, including Prof. Tong Dizhou (experimental embryologist), Zeng Chengkui (marine biologist) and Wang Zunong (microbiologist) were among the directors of theSchoolofLife Sciences. They made great contributions by their excellent academic achievements and advanced education philosophy. Through continues efforts of all faculty members and students, the School of Life Sciences has become an important base of life science research and education inChinaand gained its reputation both domestically and overseas.
TheSchoolofLife Sciencesnow hosts the State Training Base for Biological Sciences Research and Education, State Training Base for Biological Sciences and Engineering, State Key Laboratory of Microbial Technology,NationalGlycoengineeringResearchCenter, Key Laboratory of Plant Cell Engineering and Germless Innovation of Ministry of Education and Key Laboratory of Cell and Animal Development of Shandong Province. The school is certified for doctoral degree in Biology, Fermentation Engineering and postdoc training station in Biology. The faculty includes researchers of different age groups with active participation in both domestic and world academia.
Students admitted into the school will choose their majors in the junior year. There are currently four majors: Biology, Biotechnology, Ecology, Bioengineering and Bioinformatics Majors. Outstanding students will be chosen into the two state training bases.
二、培养目标(Ⅱ、Academic Objectives)
培养学生德智体美全面发展,具有健全人格,正确的世界观、人生观和价值观;具备成为高素质人才的人文社科基础知识和人文修养;具有较强的自然科学基础,具有国际化视野和受到严格科学思维的训练、掌握生物科学的基础理论、基本知识和基本技能,受到良好的专业技能训练;具备进一步攻读硕士研究生和博士研究生的良好潜质,能够运用所掌握的理论知识和技能,从事生物科学基础理论及相关领域的科学研究、技术开发、教学及管理等方面的工作。
生物科学专业(070401):培养生命科学基础型人才。学生系统掌握生物科学基本理论、基本知识和基本技能,理解和掌握生命的组成、结构和功能,了解生物科学发展前沿和发展趋势;掌握现代生物学技术,受到科学研究的基本训练,学生具有良好的科学素养和创新能力,成为生物科学基础型专门人才。
生物技术专业(070402):培养基础和应用型人才。要求学生在具有生物科学基础理论和基本技能的基础上,系统地掌握生物技术,受到较好的应用基础和应用研究训练,具有良好的科学素养和创新能力,学习工程、企业管理、经济管理等知识,成为技术开发和技术管理的基础与应用型专门人才。
生态学专业(071402):培养基础和应用型人才。要求学生在具有宽厚的生物科学基础理论和基本技能的基础上,系统和深入地掌握生态学与生态工程的基本原理和研究方法,通过科学研究训练,具备良好的科学素养和创新能力,成为生态研究、生态保护和管理、生物多样性研究和保护以及生态学教学方面的专业人才。
生物工程专业(081801):培养应用型人才。学生在具有生物科学基础理论和基本技能的基础上,掌握生物技术及其产业化的科学原理、工艺技术过程和工程设计等基础理论、基本技能,并学习工程、企业管理、经济管理等知识,能在生物技术与工程领域从事设计、生产、管理和新技术研究、新产品开发的工程技术人才。
生物信息学专业(070402W):培养基础和应用型人才。学生在具有生物科学基础理论和基本技能的基础上,掌握信息科学基础理论知识和生物学与信息学的交叉领域的基本知识,能熟练掌握生物学与信息学实验技能。毕业生适宜到科研单位、高等院校、企事业单位从事与生物学、信息学、生物信息学等交叉学科领域从事科研、教学及科技开发工作。
Our objective is to provide students with full scale of education opportunities including virtual, intellectual, physical andaesthetical education, thus to help them to establishhealthy personality. Students will learn how to acquire basic knowledge of humanities , social science and naturalscience,how to possess international perspective and preparefor further graduate education and to undertake basic or applied research as well as education or management work in related areas.
Biology Major:To raise students in basic biological sciences. Students will acquire basic knowledge, technology and skills of biological sciences, such as composition, structure and function of organisms; knowing the leading edge and the trend of the biological science; be trained to possess solid scientific literacy and innovation capabilities to become professional personnel in life sciences.
Biotechnology Major(070402):To raise students capable for basic and applied professions. Students will acquire basic theory and technology of life sciences and then learn modern biotechnology, including applied technology engineering, management and economics. They will possess good scientific literacy and innovation capabilities to become professionals in technological development and translation.
Ecology Major(071402):To raise students capable for basic and applied professions. Students will acquire them be familiar with broad and solid basic knowledge, technology and skills of ecology, and profound and systematic research principles and methods. Through scientific research training, students will possess good scientific literacy and innovation capabilities, thus to become professionals in ecological research , ecological protection and management, including biodiversity research and protection , and the ecological education.
Bioengineering Major(081801):To raise students capable for applied professions. Students will acquire broad and basic theory and skills of bioengineering and bioengineering industrialization, including principles, process and designing etc; learn engineering, enterprise and economic management to become professinals in the biotechnologyl and engineering fields such as design, produce, management, technology research and new product introduction.
Bioinformatics Major(070402W):To raise students capable for basic or applied professions. Students will acquire broad and solid basic knowledge, technology and skills of both life sciences and information sciences; master biological and informational research skills to become professionals of biological and information sciences as inter-disciplines in research institutions, universities.
三、培养要求(Ⅲ、Academic Requirement)
具备正确的政治方向,遵纪守法、诚信为人,有较强的团队意识和健全的人格。掌握一定的人文社科基础知识,具有较好的人文修养;具有国际化视野和现代意识和健康的人际交往意识。具有良好的自学习惯和能力、有较好的表达交流能力、有一定的计算机及信息技术应用能力。受到严格的科学思维训练,掌握比较扎实的生物科学基础理论和研究方法,有求实创新的意识和精神。具有综合运用所掌握的理论知识和技能、从事生物科学及其相关领域科学研究的能力;具有一定生物技术研发的能力。具有较强的创造性思维能力、开展创新实验和科学研究的能力。能较熟练地运用外语阅读专业期刊和进行文献检索,有初步的外语交流和科技写作能力;具有健康的体魄、良好的心理素质和生活习惯。
The students will be trained to be legal compliance, honest, with strong teamwork consciousness as well as healthy personality; possess international perspective as well as personal skills; possess strong self-motivation , good communication skills, good computer skills; possess solid education in life sciences with realistic and innovative spirits; have the ability of comprehensively applying the existing theory and technology to engage in life sciences and related areas as well as capacity in biotechnological research and development, the capacity of creative thinking, developing innovative experiment and scientific research; have the ability of reading professional periodicals and retrieve document in English proficiently; have the communication and writing ability in English ; further more, healthy body , strong psychological personality and good life style.

一、专业简介(Ⅰ、Major Introduction)
2002年国家教育部批准建立国家生命科学与技术人才培养基地,承担为国家培养多层次高级生物技术人才的重要任务。基地班依托微生物技术国家重点实验室、微生物学国家重点学科、生物学一级博士授权点、发酵工程学博士点、生物学博士后流动站以及发育机制与基因调控山东省高校重点实验室、发酵工程学山东省重点学科,集中我校生命学科的优势,突出我校生命科学的特色。
本专业培养掌握宽广雄厚的生物科学基础理论和熟练的实验技能、较系统地掌握生物技术特别是以微生物技术与植物生物技术为主的现代生物技术、具有良好的科学素养和创新能力与创业能力的生物技术的专门人才,培养为人类可持续发展所需的高级生物技术专门人才。
国家人才培养基地班的招生主要根据学生高考成绩和一年级学习成绩从本院(70%)和相关学院(30%)学生中进行选拔,二年级开始单独编班授课。基地班实行流动制管理和导师制,在大学二年级结束时将根据学生的学分绩点与综合素质进行考核,按有关规定部分学生将转入本院其他相关专业学习。本院其它专业的优秀学生经考核,可以转入基地班学习。
In 2002, the Ministry of Education supported state training bases in several selected universities to raise high level personal of biological sciences and technology. Based on the advantage ofState Training Base for Biological Sciences Research and Education, State Training Base for Biological Sciences and Engineering, State Key Laboratory of Microbial Technology, National Glycoengineering Research Center, Key Laboratory of Plant Cell Engineering and Germless Innovation of Ministry of Education and Key Laboratory of Cell and Animal Development of Shandong Province,the state training base in Shandong University has a solidfoundation and unique characters.
The base aimed to raise students mastering broad and solid background in biological sciences, including basic knowledge and experimental skills in modern biotechnology, particularly in microbial and plant technology. Students will become professionals with solid scientific literacy and innovation capabilities in continuous development.
The base admit students from freshmen based on their first year academic records and their college entrance record. From the second junior year up, they will take courses in seperated classes. Dynamic orgnisation and mentor system are implied. At the end of the second junior year, students′academic performance will be evaluated. Students failed to meet the standards will transfer to other majors and new outstanding students are taken to fill the space.
二、培养目标(Ⅱ、Academic Objectives)
生命科学与技术人才培养基地班培养适合社会发展需要,掌握现代生命科学基础理论与基本试验技能,德、智、体全面发展的生命科学与技术相关的专门技术人才。要求毕业生思想进步,积极向上;树立辩证唯物主义观点;具有良好的道德品质修养,自觉遵纪守法,具有强烈的社会责任感、事业心和奉献精神;热爱祖国,崇尚科学;养成积极参加体育锻炼和健康的文化活动的良好习惯,达到国家规定的大学生体育合格标准,身心健康。学生毕业后可到高等院校、科研单位、相关企(事)业单位从事生物技术及其相关领域的科学创新研究、应用开发研究与技术管理工作,可以继续攻读硕士和博士学位,也可以自行从事创业与开发。The base students are required tomaster basic knowledge and research skills in modern life sciences, receive education in broad aspects including virtual, intellectual, physical andaesthetical education, thus to become professionalscapable of developing society. They are required to have active life attitude, view of dialectical materialism, right moral value, observance to discipline and laws, strong social and career responsibility and dedication, patriotic spirit and scientific spirit and to actively take part in physical exercises and healthy life style to meet national standard for collage students. After graduation, students can enter universities, scientific research institutions or related fields toundertake basic or applied researches as well as management duties; or continue to study to acquire master and doctor degree as well as independent career exploration.
三、培养要求(Ⅲ、Academic Requirement)
具备正确的政治方向,遵纪守法、诚信为人,有较强的团队意识和健全的人格。掌握一定的人文社科基础知识,具有较好的人文修养;具有国际化视野和现代意识和健康的人际交往意识。受到严格的科学思维训练,掌握比较扎实的生物科学基础理论和研究方法,有求实创新的意识和精神。具有健康的体魄、良好的心理素质和生活习惯。
具有良好的自学习惯和能力、有较好的表达交流能力、有一定的计算机及信息技术应用能力。具有综合运用所掌握的理论知识和技能、从事生物科学及其相关领域科学研究的能力;具有一定生物技术研发的能力。具有较强的创造性思维能力、开展创新实验和科学研究的能力。
能较熟练地运用外语阅读专业期刊和进行文献检索,有初步的外语交流和科技写作能力;具有较高的计算机操作技术。具有通识性文学、历史、哲学、生物伦理学、思想道德、政治学、艺术、法学、心理学等方面的知识。掌握扎实的数学、物理学和化学方面的基础理论及知识,同时具有较强的计算机科学等方面的知识。具有生物工程及原理等方面的基础知识。
掌握扎实的生物科学的基础理论、基本知识和基本技能,受到系统的专业理论和专业技能训练。
The base students will be trained to be legal compliance, honest, with strong teamwork consciousness as well as healthy personality; possess international perspective as well as personal skills; endured strict training of scientific methodology, possess solid education in life sciences with realistic and innovative spirits; further more, healthy body, strong psychological personality and good life style.
The students are also required to possess strong self-motivation and good communication skills, good computer skills; have the ability of comprehensively applying the existing theory and technology to engage in the scientific research the life sciences and related areas as well as capacity in biotechnological research and development, the capacity of creative thinking, develop innovative experiment and scientific research.
Further more, the students should be able to read professional periodicals and retrieve document in English proficiently; have the basic communication and writing ability in English ; possess basic knowledge in literature, history, philosophy, bioethics, morality, politics, arts, laws, psychology as well as basic theory in mathematics, physics, chemistry, and computer science.
Last, the students should endured systematical training in biological sciences, including basic knowledge and skills of modern biological professions.

本基地班的专业设置为生物技术,分为三个专业方向。
1.微生物发酵技术专业方向:主要侧重微生物的工业生产应用。
2.环境微生物技术专业方向:主要侧重微生物在环境保护与资源转化中的应用。
3.植物生物技术专业方向:主要侧重细胞与基因工程在作物育种方面的应用。
基地班的同学可以跨专业方向选修本院其它专业课程。
1. Fermentation technology: emphasize industrial application of fermentation technology;
2. Environmental Microbiology: emphasize microbiotechnology application in environment protecting and resource transformation.
3. Plant biotechnology: emphasize cell and gene engineering technology application in agriculture.
Students in the base can also choose other major in the school.

一、专业简介(Ⅰ、Major Introduction)
2008年国家教育部批准建立国家生物学科学研究与教学人才基地,承担为国家培养生物科学研究与教学人才的重要任务。基地班依托微生物技术国家重点实验室、微生物学国家重点学科、生物学一级博士授权点、发酵工程学博士点、生物学博士后流动站以及发育机制与基因调控山东省高校重点实验室、发酵工程学山东省重点学科,集中我校生命学科的优势,突出我校生命科学的特色。

The base takes advantage of the unique characters and superior academic performance in microbiology, cell biology and development biology in the school, aiming at developing high level training base to train students with top quality and international perspective who can undertake basic scientific research and education task and make school of life sciences of Shandong University a world famous education and research center with unique characters and international influence.
Our objective is to provide students with full scale of education opportunities including virtual, intellectual, physical and aesthetical education, thus they will establish healthy personality. Students will learn how to acquire basic knowledge of humanities and social science and solid natural science; how to possess international perspective and how to prepare for further study in master and doctor degree and to undertake basic or applied research as well as education or management work in related areas.

掌握扎实的生物科学的基础理论、基本知识和基本技能,受到系统的专业理论和专业技能训练。
The base students will be trained to be legal compliance, honest, with strong teamwork consciousness as well as healthy personality; possess international perspective as well as personal skills; endured strict training of scientific methodology, possess solid education in life sciences with realistic and innovative spirits; further more, healthy body, strong psychological personality and good life style.
The students are also required to possess strong self-motivation and good communication skills, good computer skills; have the ability of comprehensively applying the existing theory and technology to engage in the scientific research the life sciences and related areas as well as capacity in biotechnological research and development, the capacity of creative thinking, develop innovative experiment and scientific research.
Further more, the students should be able to read professional periodicals and retrieve document in English proficiently; have the basic communication and writing ability in English ; possess basic knowledge in literature, history, philosophy, bioethics, morality, politics, arts, laws, psychology as well as basic theory in mathematics, physics, chemistry, and computer science.
Last, the students should endured systematical training in biological sciences ,including basic knowledge and skills of modern biological professions.
